Wifi and OS 7.0.4

Soon after I upgraded, both my ipad2 and 4S, I lost all access to wifi even though both of our PC desktops worked without issues.

Even though I'm very rural, we do have Att uverse. It doesn't work well but I does work; constantly have the tech guys here troubleshooting.

Anyway, I tried everything possible, power cycle router, reset network on OS device etc etc. I'd get a decent wifi signal for a few minutes and then the OS would not recognize the wifi signal at all. This went on for days.

This morning at 4 AM, I simply set the router channel to auto and have had full on wifi signal ever since. Hopefully this is the fix.

I don't know why nor do I understand what this changed on my router. Anyone want to chime in and explain this stuff to me?

My father retired from Verizon, and installed phone lines (when GTE was not owned by VZ), DSL, and FiOS.

He said that some Macs had issues pulling "industry standard" DHCP from DSL... maybe it is related, as OS 7.* seems to be about the time of DSL's-stronghold, but before FiOS (I guess)?

If you click the link, it starts at 44 minutes, 46 seconds. I'd just start there... and watch a few minutes (which is why I dropped a link that actually starts-there). Try THAT 1st.

All phones have a backdoor if "they" want to trace ,track, listen to you "they" can. You do have an internet connection you know lol. But thank you for the link. You know what it takes to be totally off the grid.......

Ya the86'd. I was going to say the same thing. I watched some of the video and it mentioned many types of brands, not just Apple.
Is Apple easier to "watch?" Or something like that? Just trying to figure out why you won't use Apple products.
