looking for a 32gb or 64gb samsung microsd card. samsung is uhs-1 rated/class 10 with a 70MB/s read and 20MB/s write. i'm usually a sandisk guy but i read some sandisks are frying in some samsung devices. there is a comparable sandisk microsd which is the extreme that is also uhs-1/class10. but it's read/write is 45/45MB/s. about $10 cheaper.
the write speed probably won't affect me too much since i'm not really keen taking hd video on the galaxy tab 3 8.0 (or pics). i'll be transferring files via sd card slot (using sd adapter) on my laptop . so even 20MB/s might be more than enough since my network copy speed is much lower than that.
it's strange that samsung has a fast read speed vs. sandisk though. how much speed is really necessary for smooth video playback? anyone had a fried microsd in their samsung device? i'm reading reviews for samsung microsd are actually good.
