I had a prior bad deal from Mom and Pop 'refurbished' PC. It came with a fresh "Windows" but unlike a normal HP pc, you didn't have any support for the Windows it came with. If I had found it in a dumpster I'd have been able to have it 'call home' give itself a brand new "return to factory settings" but not since it was 'refurbished'. HP no longer had the serial # as "active" or something.
Anyways, any OTHER probs with refurbished and is it worth the discount.
I'm weak on consumer elec.
Any BETTER places to buy a new 17" basic laptop?
I'd be using it for a Solidworks prodject(gotta lug around and show folks in person, etc) and for watching movies when on 'stake out'. Not a 'gamer' myself.
PS-I mean 'wrong' besides the funky purple color. To me it makes no sense to have the keyboard area anything but FLAT BLACK(or maybe flat dark earth or something) to prevent GLARE AND REFLECTIONS especially under 'power saver' or in car etc use with lots of random background light.
