Any suggestion for parental control app for iPhone?

I have Android and there are plethora of these, such as Cerberus and setting for allowing only PG apps to be downloaded. Haven't seen this for iOS.

    Suggestions?

Put a password on the phone, don't allow downloads with out it, pick the apps you want your kids to use, download them yourself, then restrict or unrestrict based on what else is on the phone that you might want to use.

My sister got my mother's old iPhone, and it has been locked down with a password.

Don't worry, the NSA has control of it already:

There is an application for Android called App Lock, and my son learned about how Android can function as a dumb-phone if you don't do your chores or get good grades.

I am sure with all the control Apple wants to have over it's users, that the password availability on the iPhone might be similar.

If you can't trust the child to follow some basic rules, they probably should not have the phone. I'd just let them know you will be spot checking now and then unannounced. Then now and then ask for the phone and check it right there if front of them. Trust but verify. Simple.

And by the way, the kids have fixes around these "software controls.". It took LAUSD students under a week to defeat the controls on the IPADS LAUSD waisted taxpayer money on.

Thats a very strong statement. Of course you want to trust your child, but there are always external factors that you want your child protected from. Whether its malware, in-apps purchase, or getting kidnapped (there's where the phone tracking comes in play).

But if you disagree, then that's fine.

Ah, this is great stuff. I'll play around with the settings.

I'm not a parent yet, but those little turds will only be getting flip phones. Smartphones are really becoming detrimental to society. I have one regardless, but absolutely can't stand the sight of seeing people everywhere JUST STARING AT A SCREEN.

Send me pics of your: Colt Detective Special, AMT Hardballer, pre-64 Winchester Model 70. I'm looking for them.

Smartphones and tablets are becoming a mainstream tool, just like computer. Back when I was in high school (80's), I am not even allowed to use a calculator! Now kids have computers to do their homework.

Technology can empower our children to do more and smarter, but, with great power, comes great responsibility. :-D

Here is the best parental control.
