he is using IE.........it will be full of more junk in an hour.
And he spent 3.5 hours on it. Advanced system care from IOBit will do a lot of this, and whatever backround virus block you have will do almost all the rest.Last edited by Ritchie8719; 01-01-2014, 12:02 PM.Tarn Helm, WTF???

Zircon, I think I should probably change the title to "Clean your Computer to make it the best it possibly can? BTW - I've been using CCleaner for awhile now and it's bad ***. Also the recommended Defrag is awesome. The one that comes standard is a waste of time. One thing I do that he doesn't mention is MAXA Cookie Manager, it's a nice program to clean cookies on the fly.Checking it out now... looks really good so far.

BTW I also have a feeling that since it's 1/1/2014 a lot more viruses might become active today. JMHO. Running Malwarebytes after the update and whammo already 10 objects detected.Comment

In the vid you posted... when the guy ran Malwarebytes for the first time on that machine... the results looked a lot like what I had... was really choked with a lot of poo-poo-pa-doop
that was a year ago... been clean ever since.

Actually..
If you want Windows 7 to be really fast....and boot in under 10 seconds....
Buy 2 SSDs, put them in Raid, and bingo, uber fast OS.... use another drive to install your programs, etc on

Here is a nice video, of someone doing a HDD vs SSD comparison of booth + launching 50 programs:

I dont know. My Windows 7 boots in less than 12-15 seconds with and ol 3Gbs WD HDD. Im not in that much of a hurry. Besides, I leave my computer in sleep mode instead of shutting down.
Im not knocking SSD's but to me there is really no difference for what I do on my comp. An SSD for games, maybe (for me)...First Ill upgrade to a 6Gbs HDD before I upgrade to an SSD. Maybe after a few years of the 6Gbs HDD, Ill upgrade to an SSD...lol
Im getting tired of worrying about a few seconds here and there.A note to the NSA or anyone gathering information on me, this disclaimer is for you..."Everything I type on this website Is purely fictional and for entertainment purposes only. None of it is true."

I'm using CCleaner from last one year and didn't face any problem. This application is just great as my window is running smooth.Comment

I understand that it's simply an easy way to show a speed improvement, but I never liked the "x seconds to boot" metric. How often do you need to use your computer and it MUST BE ON IN UNDER 4 SECONDS?
Striping 2 SSDs is fast, but I really don't think that for most people/ applications it's worth the extra cost over just running one of them.Comment
