Does anyone know of an iPhone app that lets you view and send texts from your PC?

PC/iPhone SMS??

I have an Android phone, but use Google Voice for SMS. Their service won't send images, but I just email the image to the recipient's phone number. -
I am sure you could do it through iCloud somehow, providing that Apple could track that too...
I am not very familiar with iPhruity-devices, as I don't like to use my real name on accounts that I use daily (I am a monkey-wrench-thrower, I guess).
My best guess:
Alternative would be e-mail to text. Most providers allow for e-mails to be sent to SMS messages. i.e. if you shoot an e-mail to 5551234567@tmomail.net for someone who has T-Mobile as a provider, the recipient would get an SMS, however it is not foolproof. I just tried sending one to my new phone, and I received one (WiFi calling made it stuck on stupid until a reboot, then it downloaded).
Give it a shot:

What I'm looking for is a way to text from my computer without having to pick up my phone, unlock it, etc etc. I spend a lot of time on my PC and I'm looking for an easy and more convenient way to look and answer texts. Don't know if anything like this exists for iPhonesComment

This is what Google Voice looks like in a Chrome browser. My Google Voice number happens to be the same as my phone so I'm not sure if something like this would work for you. What I'm looking for is a way to text from my computer without having to pick up my phone, unlock it, etc etc. I spend a lot of time on my PC and I'm looking for an easy and more convenient way to look and answer texts. There has to be an app that does it. I used to use the Android app mighty text and it worked phenomenal. Exactly as you described. Even showed mms. Now that I've got a moto x, moto has their own built in app that does the same thing.
Hard to believe that iPhone doesn't have something similar.
Edit: guess not per apple's lock down policy. Though to be fair, probably not for you if uber privacy is your concern.Last edited by antiseen; 01-02-2014, 4:48 PM.Comment
