My funds are limited so my choice from Costco is either the Dell Inspiron 15 touch notebook 4GB memoery, 500 GB hard drive, intel core, windows 8 or the HP Pavillon 15-e037cl notebook amd quad core 2.0GHz, 4 GB memory, 750 GB hard drive, non touch. The Dell is about $80.00 more. These are both the lowest priced they have in the store. Any input appreciated.

What are you using it for? How much does each of them cost? Need more specs listed, preferably all of them. My personal experience with HP laptops is they can be hit or miss. We bought a new HP laptop from Costco about 7 years ago and the screen died on us while it was still on warranty. We had to send it to HP to have the screen replaced. I used a Dell laptop at work for about 8 months at one of my previous jobs and it held up pretty good.Comment

Check out how comfortable the keys on the keypad are for you. Some keys are too flat to accurately locate while typing. Other keys have springs too stiff to type with ease, forcing you to pound the key board.
I have owned a few laptops: HP, Sony, and Dell. By far the most reliable and easy to repair was the Dell. I currently own a Dell 610 with 2gb of RAM. I paid a whopping $125 shipped on Ebay.
Enjoy.Comment
