    Question for you guru's ?

    1) Have an issue with the sound on my desk top. First off when I go to my start menu and play a card game every works fine, you can hear the cards shuffle and little beeps.

    2) When I go to Yahoo and watch news videos every thing works fine.
With #1 & 2 I can adjust the volume up or down.

    3) When I try to watch a U-Tube video.....no sound! Any ideas of whats wrong.

A friend of mine built this puter some years, and told me the sound card is part of the motherboard. I looked at the control panel and everything looks OK, nothing is marked mute.

By the way it just started today.

Have you checked the Mute button within the YouTube window? If everything else is working except YouTube, that may be your problem..

Hover your mouse over the video that is playing and look to the bottom left. If the video player is muted, it will have an X over it. Click on it to unmute. Don't forget to drag the volume button up if needed.

Don't discount a possible need to reinstall flash.
