My microSD got corrupted, send to pros?

The microSD on my phone, with priceless pics and vids, got corrupted. My desktop cannot read my microSD and prompts me to format the card. I have installed and tried 2 recovery software from the net to no avail. Have you guys sent your memorcy card to some professional and let them retrieve your files? If so, around how much did you spend.

odds are, if its really damaged, it might not be recoverable, because its not like hard drives where data is readable even being overwritten on cylinders/platters

what software have you tried? some just suck..

Photorec to recover the files, some readers have a max that they can read, if it is an old reader and you never used it with that card, this might be the problem. (i.e. Reader's max size is 2GB, but the card is 16GB, and the like.) If the reader worked in the past with that card, try Photorec. Don't format unless you verify reader compatibility...

Photorec will carve just about everything off any drive I have tried unless totally toast, and it doesn't even have to have a MBR, or partition that functions, it just carves out the bits, OS-independent.

FYI: It works pretty well, but for Hi-Cap, or slow HDDs it takes a LONG... TIME... and might pull deleted data that you don't want people to see, such as bedroom pics she deleted... ... ...

Unless the controller (or whatever it is called on solid-state devices) dies...
