    bluetooth vs usb mouse??????

I need a mouse that will work 15ft away from the computer. I have a mac mini that i use as a media server and the usb microsoft mouse (about 4yrs old) doesn't want to work passed 3ft.

Would bluetooth be better than usb? any suggestions on what mouse to get.

also looking to spend less than $50

Bluetooth quotes a range of 30 feet, but with a mouse that tends to be a pantload.

Just use a standard cordless mouse, but get some extensions to bring the receiver closer to where you need it. Or just use a wired mouse.

I have had decent luck with blue tooth mice for applications like that. Give a reputable company a shot if it doesn't return it and try the other suggestions

I don't think they have a iPhruity-key (Open?)Apple or whatever they call it this year, but here is an option we are looking at:

        1. Long range
Our products work at the distances you need in a presentation or meeting: at least 100' for our keyboards and remote, 50' for our wireless mouse. As importantly, they use radio-frequency communications. That means that, unlike consumer-quality wireless input devices, Wireless Computing keyboards, mice and presentation remote controls continue to operate successfully even if someone stands between you and the computer.
You can find them used... but $150 for a used-combo sounds a little pricey, and $250... even with this guarantee is rich for my home-use-blood:
        6. Money Back Guarantee

We're so confident that you'll love our products that we include a 30-day money back guarantee in addition to our one-year parts and labor warranty.

If you're unhappy with one of our products, for whatever reason, phone: 512-263-2205 or email sales@wireless-computing.com.

You have enough to do without worrying about your wireless keyboard, mouse, or presentation remote control. Choose Wireless Computing for worry-free computer control even in the most challenging environments.
