    Shadowrun Returns?

    Anyone played it yet?

I sacrificed many, many hours on the altar of 1st and 2nd edition Shadowrun when I was in Jr. High and High School.

... now if only someone would come out with a game for Paranoia and Starfleet Battles*

I played the original Shadowrun quite a bit in Jr. High. I still remember that creepy feeling it could give sometimes. I actually forgot the name of the game for a long time, but I remembered the premise. A couple years ago, I was thinking of the game and wanted to find out the actual title. I remembered the name Armitage and talismans and was able to find it. Youtubing it brought back some old memories.

Still waiting for it to come out on the IPad...looks to be a good game though.

If you never played the OG Shadowruns - its a great game. If you played the OG shadowruns - it's an OK game.

Okay, so Shadowrun Returns was on sale on Steam the other day, and I bought the hell out of it.

Good stuff. Not much "RP" in the "RPG" part of the base campaign, but there's some. The expansion pack - Dragonfall - is quite a lot better. Feels less like it's on rails, so far. Looking forward to checking out some of the stuff in the Steam Workshop, too.

I finished the first campaign, got Dragonfall on sale but haven't played it yet. A lot of reviews are saying Dragonfall is better then dead man's switch. I enjoyed the game, seemed it was more about the story then the role playing, also it runs on Linux, woohoo!

I used to play shadowrun. I mean the REAL Shadowrun with paper and dice. I hear the newest edition really sucks tho. Nerfed a lot of stuff.

I also enjoyed (and kickstarted) SRR. Dragonfall's definitely worth it too, some new features, a bit more balanced skill usage, good character writing.

I'm a little bummed that the user generated content hasn't really taken off much yet. Dabbled in a couple of interesting short campaigns, but most of them left off with "To be continued..." with no subsequent chapter.
