Long(est)-range wireless mouse & keyboard combo?

Since users like to change the design of how things are planned, I have to get a mouse/keyboard combo to work @ with multiple monitors and metal-housed thin clients between a computer and the mouse/keyboard from the front of the room to the back @ about 25ft max.

We originally had some wired, and stuck a cheap bluetooth set in there for convenience, but now they want wireless-perfection, without lag.

I personally only use PS/2 (MiniDin) keyboards (Model "M") and PS/2 mice (Logitech @ ~$20), and always hated to swap batteries, so I have no idea what is out there.

Please advise as to mid-price range, to high-end.

(Hmmm. This may also be a solution to my MK808B delima for my Android-based HTPC...)

Another option I was recommended to try would be an Active USB extension, and throw the dongle up in the plenum area, or mounted to the bottom of a tile, or mounted to the drop-ceiling bars in some way to keep the USB dongle for any device directly above the KB/mouse combo for better signal.

Has anyone used one of these ACTIVE USB extensions, and are they reliable?

I have used some USB over Ethernet-cable extensions, and they were pretty-unreliable (for data) even on a 100ft cable (of course).
