Need help with bluetooth - cellphone + car issue::: EDIT - FIXED :::

    Hey guys,

A gun forum probably wouldn't be the best place to ask this, but I've tried to search through multiple forums and just can't seem to find a solution. Hoping one of you techies can help a fellow Calgunner out.

Phone: Samsung Galaxy S2 Skyrocket (AT&T)

    Car: 2013 Mitsubishi Evo X

My phone is currently paired with my car's factory Bluetooth system. As soon as the car is turned on, the phone will auto connect. All phone calls incoming and outgoing will be played through the car's speakers and voice input goes through the vehicle's built-in mic.

During a recent call, I switched from the default car audio to my handheld (cellphone). I can't remember how I did it, but I believe it was by toggling the "headset" option on my cell phone's in-call screen.

So here's the problem. I can no longer switch back to having the phone calls go through the car's mic/speaker. I can input call commands by voice through the car, but once it starts dialing, everything is through the handheld again. I've tried toggling the headset option on my phone, but it remains on the phone and will not playback through the car. I've also tried to un-pair and re-pair, but no luck.

    Any suggestions?

EDIT: A PHONE RESTART SEEMED TO FIX THE PROBLEM. CALGUNS TO THE RESCUE ONCE AGAIN!

There may be a button on the car's phone screen that lets you switch back and forth between handset and car.

May be a silly question, but is the bluetooth on your phone turned back "on"?

I have a completely different phone and car Bluetooth system but I occasionally have the same problem. Mine fixes when I to a restart of the phone. Once I had to do a restart of the car's Bluetooth too.

Yes, phone's bluetooth was never actually turned off.

I'll double check for this. Never toggled anything from the car's controls other than the dial and end call options but I might have missed it.

I just restarted my phone and will try it again the next time I'm about to drive. Just did a quick search on how to reset the car's bluetooth. Thanks for the suggestion!

Be glad you didn't get an Alpine.

From what I read, Alpine only really supports iPhruity devices flawlessly for Pandora streaming... I have this issue.
