It's AT&T throttling you. Twc does the same. Look it up online

Sorry, sir, my laptop doesn't have a problem buffering when I go to dailymotion or vimeo.

During the setup, un click everything except desktop icon. That way, you run the program. It will clean temporary files, then click on the registry button, after it is done it asks if you want to say what is deleted, click no then fix problem or problems.

Thanks for the tip johnthomas, but alas your prescribed method didn't work for me

Pull up a youboob vid. When it starts to play, right click on a lower
corner of the vis and puil up Flash Player Settings. UNCLICK THE
BOX for hardware accelerators making sure the box is cleared,
then close settings window. Replay the vid, or go to another site
then back to YOUTUBE and try playing a vid. Seems there is
something fishy about the Adobe Flash Player's latest versions.

HTH's, but in this, not always.

Thank you for your suggestion bg; I tried it, but it doesn't work. Also, what's weird is the fact that the settings option doesn't always come up when I right click the video. I tried it like 20x, and just this one time when the video buffering froze was when I saw the option. After that one time I didn't see it again. Would you have any knowledge as to why this happens to me? Furthermore, can you explain what I did when I disabled hardware accelerators like how does it help specifically?

It was in the YouTube forums.

If I have a gmail account does that automatically mean I have a google+ account? To be honest I don't know what this google+ account is. Sorry if I'm a bit slow can you please elaborate?

Also this is to anyone out there who can be a good samaritan. How do you use this multi-quote function? I had to post two replies to quote and respond to the users who gave me a tip to try out. Anyway I can make life easier and do it in one go? Sorry as you can tell I'm new around the forum.

I can agree with you that could be the problem. Now, can you give me a solution as to how I can resolve it? I'd be glad to resolve this youtube nonsense as quickly as possible because it'll be good for my health: it helps to keep my blood pressure down.

I noticed this happening the last few days, but thought it was because I was overseas and the internet was spotty.

Just noticed that I have an internet enabled TV via a hardline into an access point. Pulled up youtube on there and have the same problem....grr.

start > run > type in "cmd"

                  punch in the following:
                  "netsh advfirewall firewall add rule name="YouTubePerformanceHack" dir=in action=block remoteip=173.194.55.0/24,206.111.0.0/16 enable=yes"

                  hit enter

what this does is block the youtube cache servers so that youtube has to stream directly to you...some ISP's throttle known cache servers

let me know if that helps you at all.

yea doesn't matter how you block it..as long as it gets blocked

the command is meant for windows 7/8..you should be able to just adjust it through the firewall gui

I had my fingers crossed the whole time as I did this, but I only got 40 seconds into a YouTube video before it froze. It is a slight improvement from 20 seconds before freezing.

Montu are you a techie? Would you have more advice(s) on how to fix this YouTube problem?

My problems were resolved by updating my flash player.

Without the most up-to-date version of your browser, you can still watch YouTube videos, but you may have problems using YouTube’s newer features. For instructions on how to upgrade, visit your
