Fur coat razor blade? Sounds cool but what is it?
Anyways, ADT has worked well for me for over 15 years. The alarm is LOUD and you can program it many ways. When the alarm is triggered, ADT calls within one minute to get the code and if they do not get an answer/code, they call the police to the property. I have had the police at my house within 5 minutes (very quick response times in Westminster) due to my grand parent not hearing the alarm...lol
But then again, the alarm is only good when your gone or sleeping to possibly scare potential burglars away and alert you to their presence. A 12 gauge and your nuts would be the next choice in the meantime while the police are on their way.A note to the NSA or anyone gathering information on me, this disclaimer is for you..."Everything I type on this website Is purely fictional and for entertainment purposes only. Fur coat razor blade:

In 25 years of marriage, the only home break-ins we've had were during the short periods when we were without dogs. (Edit: we do have an ADT system, but rarely use it. It's there mainly for when we're traveling and the dogs are kenneled.)Last edited by diveRN; 09-22-2013, 12:59 PM.

If you have tech skills and are only concerned about monitoring, you can do really well by just setting up a dedicated server at home with a CCTV system and motion sensing. Automation and firewalls combined with the right software and you can even have it dial out to you over an internet connection. If all you want is a CCTV or something to see what happened after the fact, its pretty easy. The tricky part is if you want access control systems integrated.Once more into the fray,

I am not sure who the question is directed towards. BUT DVR's in in the last 10 years do all that you are recommending. If you have tech skills and are only concerned about monitoring, you can do really well by just setting up a dedicated server at home with a CCTV system and motion sensing. By the Dog is the much better option for the security that to if its really scary like the pic above,,We have a general home security system at my parents home (I m not sure which company) and a few cameras from costco pointing in the backyard and front yard..
What is the best home security system? Camera system? What should you look for in both? Which ones are the easiest to "crack" or circumvent?
My uncle has a few monitors placed on his walls through out his house (kinda like the intercom systems in many houses) that display his home camera system.. that seems like a good idea.. he can even watch the footage on his iphone in realtime at anytime..
Any other good stuff? What do you guys recommend? How can you make it harder to crack a home security system? Whats good? Whats the best?
Thanks
-NRai

but to be honest I do have a security system in my house like one is from foscam, and another one is from costco plus a Dog itself
And with these there is no such security issues,,
