    Cell phone swap?

I have learned that I can be more productive by switching devices, I am 3 months into a new contract.

I found someone on Craigslist willing to trade devices.... Any known risks or scams out there? Any precautions?

    Thank you!

If I stole a phone, I would love to trade it for a non-stolen phone.......

Thanks.... My concern is, could the other party report the IMEI as lost or stolen even if I swap the SIM?

We will be going to the ATT store in any case and I will have the store rep notate both accts.. I guess that's as much as can be done.

Scam on craigs list? Perish the thought. Someone could report the IMEI as stolen no matter what if they wanted to. The person at the AT&T store can tell you right away if the IMEI is blacklisted.

The only way to mess with it after you have it is if they cloned the IMEI. That would be a whole lot more trouble than it is worth to do to someone unless the guy you get it from just gets off on screwing around with people.

Check with the carrier first to see if its clear to buy

If you have Verizon I believe you can transfer upgrades from other lines if you have a family plan
