Windows Phone 8: What's your experience?

So I'll be eligible for an upgrade soon and I'm leaning towards a Nokia 820/822. In the store the OS seems lightning fast and I know they've got some impressive hardware specs. Looking for some real world input on your experience with Windows Phone 8?

(And please don't recommend an android or iphone. Been there done that.)

    I have a 920.
battery sucks....replaced phone under warranty..... battery on nnew phone starting to have same issues.... no good for more than a few months.

Navigation will kill battery in no time.

phone is heavier than should be.

randomly freezes.... was on plane went to turn it off and it froze in the powering down....screen stayed on, couldn't do anything till died completely and recharged.

plug in charger doesnt have enough power to actually charge phone

takes nice pictures..... overall the the os is pretty smooth and the few apps I use work well.

    nice screen, love the size.

voice nav is awesome, but useless cuz kills battery too quickly.

phone has left me "stranded" way too many times.

overall, if I hadn't given my niece my iPhone 4 I would have gone back to using it.

reliability is to valuable to me to ever buy one again.

When the new iPhone comes out my wife gets one, I will get her 4s you can have my 920.

Go with the HTC 8X. I have had it for about 6 months now and it is great!!! Battery life is great, Super fast OS and integrates with my home Windows 8 PC and Windows tablet flawlessly. If you want a Nokia I would go with the new 900 series ( depending on what carrier you have)

The difficulty with reading peoples opinion on the new Windows platform is they often shoot it down for the wrong reasons.

An Apple phone running Apple software SHOULD perform perfect. A Nokia Phone running Windows software? We need to compare the same things here. That being said, the Windows 8 phones are underrated but very capable - ESPECIALLY if you are a big Windows user.

Your best bet is to try one yourself during the 2 week trial period. Check this site out if you haven't already: #timetoswitch

If your not a big Nokia fan, look up HTC Windows Phones.
