    OPINIONS ON ANONYMOUS SEARCH ENGINES

Hello all, I am looking for some tech savvy opinions on a search engine called START PAGE. The developers of the search engine claim to filter out all tracking and personal info before submitting your search to google. I'm thinking of using this one primarily when doing internet searches after realizing that google is following me everywhere I go.
Any cons to using this search engine???

If you want to anonymously browse, pay for a good VPN or Proxy provider that doesn't save your data.

Or go the quick and easy route for searching the web and use the Tor browser bundle.

Defend yourself against tracking and surveillance. Circumvent censorship.

There is no such thing as truly anonymous internet use of any kind. All you can do is just make tracking you more difficult.

Public key encryption can be brute force decrypted given enough time and CPU power. But that isn't always necessary, for example when I connected to the OP's link (Start Page) I was connected using TLS 1.0 128-bit encryption. There are already known vulnerabilities in TLS 1.0 that have been well publicized for years.

I use Startpage. I know it's not exactly like a Suliban cloaking device, but anything to make it a little harder for big business to track me helps. It doesn't use the google auto fill for searches and the shading on the results page makes it hard to see which ones are paid ads, but I can live with it.
