I have comcast, I know they boosted speeds but seems only my upload was doubled?
Im using a vpn, i tested it off and get about the same speed.

That's a little odd. My download is about double the speed of my upload.

Nope, you are WAY.......off. With that upload speed, you're in the 105Mbps download tier.

I had the same problem after the recent change in speed, ended up swapping the modem (I was on the modem rental plan) but it still had problem. Went out to buy a Motorola modem and that fixed it for me.

i get about 28 Mbps down / 8 Mbps up and i'm subbed to the standard comcast package.

enjoy your upload speed. when i first got comcast, their slowest package in my area was about 12 Mbps. later on they upgraded it for free to 16-18, then to 24 ish.

I know it sounds stupid, but unplug your power from the modem for 30 secs.

The modem will log back onto the servers and you should have your correct speeds. It's normally a serverside bandwidth allocation issue.

I know. I only have copper gigabit at my desk.
