will you get the next xbox?

with more and more evidence that the nextbox will be a "always connected" device and require download of all games i am thinking of not getting it. i will reserve judgement till Microsoft makes a official announcement, but their silence on the nextbox is not helping. PS4 already revield its new controller and has a launch games list forming with Battlefield 4 and thief leading and looking awesome. i have enjoyed gaming on xbox for a long time and will be sad to see it go, but if they require constant connection and kill used games i will not be getting a new xbox.

Been waiting a long time since my 360 RROD'ed to get a new box. Ill wait until the PS4 and neXtBOX are out to decide which...always on will be a deal killer.

Im hoping they reverse (if true) the drm crap. Xbox (Microsoft) usually pretty smart about their stuff so I think they know it wouldnt help especially since that is the word about the ps4 and downloading games. People already said they would leave ps if they follow through with that. I may just go with the steam box if any of this is true. But we will fi d outnext month when they reveal the system

Kinda on the fence. Whenever A new Xbox comes out it takes like a year or more to iron out the kinks. Not to mention it will prolly cost 500 when it gets released

i think the "always on" things is pretty lame.. maybe ill get it 5 years after it comes out.

I'm probably jumping ship. The PS4 appears to be solving my biggest problems with the PS3 and it seems like a solid next gen evolution. They are adding party chat functionality like xbox live has now, Improved controller ergonomics, and all systems ship with headsets.

The Xbox live experience is already pushing the limits of my patience. Cruise around xbox live and they will try to stick their greedy hands into your pocket at every turn and thats on top of an annual membership fee. Online only DRM BS will be the final straw for me.

No thanks. I have gamepads, joysticks and a video source router. Program websites from the computer chair - hit a button - play street fighter on the 55"er and sit on the couch

I really do not see the allure of extremely purpose focused hardware that is known and expected to fail (rrod) all under the guise of "entertainment"

I suppose if you were a neighbor of someone owning a console gaming platform - "entertainment" could be derived by way of sardonic hilarity achieved watching said neighbor cry tears of grief over their poor choice in electronic devices

I'll probably get it but I might wait until a while after launch. This is assuming that my current xbox doesn't give up before then. I just don't like the PS4 controllers and none of the Sony exclusives ever really interested me.
