Plasma TV problems

For the last couple of weeks my Philips plasma tv has had some problems. When I turn it on the blue light on the tv comes on and the tv makes a click clack sound over and over and over. When it first started it would do it for a few seconds and then would come on. Now it just does it over and over and the tv will not turn on. Anyone have any idea what this may be? Should I get it fixed? How much will it cost me? Is it worth it? There are two lights in the back of the tv that illuminate when it's clicking. Any help or experience with this is appreciated.

Unplug the TV for a minute each time you try....it helps to let the capacitors discharge.
Many HDTVs have blinking light error codes that will determine which circuit board is at fault. Then you look up that board # on e-bay.
Count how many times the LED light blinks....then look up your Philips model number,

I found this out when my 2011 42" Panasonic Viera went out, I made the repair with a $65. board on e-bay.

lcdalternatives.com alot of times a capacitor overheats and needs to be replaced. You can either buy the kit or just source the bad ones. Ive revived 4 tvs and an onkyo receiver for less than ten bux combined.

time to ditch that POS plasma and upgrade to a LCD or LED

It could be a sign of not enough power coming into the plasma tv. How many other appliances/electronics in that circuit? Try it with no other appliance connected to the whole circuit. Unplug them completely.

Thx for the help guys.......... A buddy of mine had a similar issue and changed the power supply and problem solved, guess I'll try that.
