Is that leopard or snow leopard? I made a hackintosh a few years back out of a dell mini. I may have a bootable USB. Where are you located? I'm in the Bay Area. If I find it tomorrow, you can come grab it. Let me know if you want me to look.

Other option is DL via Torrents. Im sure its available that way.....um, from what I hear....

Just take it to an Apple Store and make a genius bar appointment. They'll do it free.

ISO via FTP would be faster... yes?

Yo yo Yo. I had the same issue with a MacBook 1st gen I'm building for sale. I just picked up a NEW DVD of Snow Leopard (10.6.3) direct from Apple.com for $19 shipped. Most Intel Macs that DONT take the 10.8 osx upgrade, will still be upgradable to 10.6.

You might as well get the real deal, adds value if you decide to resell the computer.

                    Just my 2 cents..

What is the model number of her Mac? I have several different original install discs for various machines.
