    Apple Mini Mac

Hey all, i'm hooking up a mini mac for my parents and wanted to know what apps, extensions or programs I should download/install for them?

and is there anything I should look out for (i'm a PC guy) with dealing with the Apple product?

    Thanks in advance,

    FC

Depends on what you want to allow them to do
I'd say, get google chrome, make sure java is turned off on all web browsers.
Get teamviewer, so you can remote help them if needed.
Do they know about skype? I've had a blast talking to my parents over skype - way better than normal phone talking (is subjective though).
vlc is a must, to play media.
iLife is cool, iWork is decent.
I'd also get them an external hd and set up time machine to backup their stuff (never know when shtf)

How tech savvy are they? anything in particular they want to do?
