    Good basic programming books?

I've finally decided to try and do something with one of my many ideas, namely, to try to make a game.
I figured on making a mech game 9with lots of cool extras, too), since starting with something easy is something I routinely fail to do.
Well, that and I have some experience. I decided to use CryEngine 3 instead of the Unreal engine, since I'm not a huge fan of the Unreal engine, and what the CryEngine can do suits my needs and interests better.
The thing is, I am using the free SDK version (since I don't have a company and thus cannot register for a full version) and everything gets errors or fails to work.

What would be a good programming book that does cover CryEngine 3 specifically, from the basics, and is written by someone who knows what they are doing?
I need to think of a clever thing here.

Normally, when I start playing with a new SDK, I head to Amazon.com for guides. I saw this on Amazon.com:

I used to browse for programming books in Borders, too bad they went out of business. Miss being able to browse the books in details before I buy.

I have at least a dozen or so C# programming books in PDF(some of them are visual studio centric). I'd be happy to email you a few to get you started, but it really depends on what language(s) you want to learn. I believe the CryEngine does support C#/.Net, but I could be wrong. PM me your email address if interested.

If you change your mind and want to use Unreal I could give you a hand.
