So My Dell Printer Died

And we replaced it with an HP LaserJet Pro 300.

I really like the HP Laser Jets. We got the Dell on a recommendation, and it never was 'right'

We run about a ream of paper a day (500 Sheets) 5 days a week. and the Dell only lasted about 9 months.

So what do you guys do with your ink/toner when a printer dies?

I'm trying the Craigslist route, as office max wont let me return it.

Lot of (3): Surplus Dell 2145cn Toner Cartridges

Wondering if anyone has had success doing this?

Only other time we've used Craigslist was for a job posting which was a complete disaster.

Wow that's a huge amount of paper your going through. I don't have any experience selling toner. But I have gotten a few decent results selling PC parts online and in the classified's.

Those seem like they would be more business related I would try the local papers, as that may be more your target market.

As a Side note I have had great luck with my Samsung laser, but your printing more a day than I do a year :O

Call some local toner cartridge/ printer supply companies in your area. They might buy them from you if they sell them.

Off-Topic- Do you print a ream of paper per day in color? If not, you might be better served with a dedicated monochrome laser printer. Cost per copy goes way down.

When my last HP printer died, I had 5 or 6 new toner cartridges for it. I went to Staples and asked if I bought a new printer, could I swap my toner cartridges for ones that fit the new printer. They said no problem, I thought that was very nice of them. Happened a month later to a buddy of mine and he tried the same thing at Staples, and it worked. If you've already got your new printer, this might not work for you.

Our Work Horse is an HP P4014N (Invoices, Packing Slips, large jobs)

The Dell is a multifunction, we need for faxes.

(Anyone tried to buy a decent fax now days? Imposibile!)

It was replaced by a HP M375mw.
