    Motion Sensor inside Gun Safe??

I would like to purchase a wifi connected device that I can place inside my gun safe that will send me an email once it detects movement (meaning the safe is being shaken or moved)

Does anything like this exist? Thanks...

WhatI think youre looking for is shock/inertia sensing that is based on g-force, motion is based on position to items or change in image.

I have a Dlink wireless network camera that I have setup to email me pics upon motion detection but not shock. pretty cheap, has audio, has night vision (limited vision though), and easy to setup.cost me about $100
I have the DCS-932L, and it emails me 6 pics for every detection. works so well I had to turn the sensitivity down because sunlight coming though clouds would cause my phone to explode with emails. you can even access live video over a smart phone via the mydlink app.

the feature I like is that you can have video saved to a network storage device. nice feature because you can hide the NAS to better retain evidence in the event the camera is lost during a break in.

so at the least I can recommend the DCS-932L, but take a look at the DCS-942L and the DCS-2132L

    take a look here dlink

    or maybe netgear

the only problem i could see is if the signal doesnt get through the safe itself when mounted inside as you plan to. I might even suggest not to mount inside the safe for its to fairly late to do anything about anyone grabbing your stuff by then. In stead mount it overlooking the area the safe is so is said bad guy comes to get your safe during a break in you will be notified asap and if your lucky you can call police to catch the bad guy hard at work trying to break into your safe. This might give you and the police more time to respond before your items are accessed and lost to a theft.

If you're that paranoid, why not put a wifi camera with sensor aimed at your safe. Bolt it down to the beams in your walls, and you don't need to worry about it being stolen.

bolt it down to the floor. less then 5 minutes with a sawzall will have the wall apart and safe can be taken with help of others or a cheap handtruck.
one thing i thought of is a gps tracker used with a pay-as-you-go cell service you can plug the sim card into the device and text it from your phone and it will reply with current gps position. they make some for bikes so once armed if they detect movement (shocks) you can track gps position online check out spybike here spybike info link here
