I committed a cardinal sin recently. I upgraded two things at once on my desktop. My old desktop had been running fine with Win Vista on it.
I bought an ssd and also bought a copy of Win 7 Pro and installed both at the same time.
I know, bad juju, but I am perplexed at two issues that are annoying the crap out of me. I think one is hardware related and one software, but I would like to know for sure.
Software:
Whenever I click on a link or right click a new window, more often times than not windows will load the new window and then revert back to the original window. I have to click the new tab again to go to the page I wanted to load. I am using the latest version of Firefox and this is really annoying. I have tried going into the Firefox settings but I can't find anything that changes this behavior.
Hardware:
The other thing is my computer keeps freezing. This happens most of the time when I click on a video link but not always. If I wait a few minutes it returns to normal and the video plays fine. I thought maybe video drivers but the nvideo software says I have the latest version.
Any solutions?

. I just ran across this article and will have to make some changes to that pc that I put an SSD in. It does speak about latest drivers and of course latest hardware is developed to take advantage of SSD's.
