    Qs about Google Play

I currently have a Droid X smartphone that I have used to download a few apps from Google Play. I had to create a gmail account to activate the phone, but I don't use it.

Anyway, I just bought an Android based tablet today(Ice Cream Sandwich).

I want to download some apps from Google Play, but when I try it only recognizes that I have my Droid. Even when I am on the tablet.

Is there a way to add a device in Google Play? How do I do that. I have only downloaded apps on my phone and only then maybe four times total.

    Thanks,
    John
And in all fairness, just because JMB did it doesn't mean anything. He'd have won WWII with a soup can, a fork, and a couple rocks. Seriously, even McGuyver and Steven Hawking get together every now and then and are like "How the **** did he do that?..."

Log in to your Google account through the tablet then try:
    Menu > Settings > Accounts & sync

Just Go To The Play Store App From The Tablet.

        Thanks, guys.

I tried both of those and nothing. I finally found out through searching the net that there are some companies that don't pay Google to be "certified" and therefore aren't allowed to use Google play. I know I can root it and fix the issue, but I am not doing that till out of warranty at least.

I did find that I can use Amazon's App store and it has pretty much everything I want. So I guess the moral of the story is don't buy a tablet unless you know it's certified by Google.
