    I concede

I have to admit that you young whippersnappers have me beat in the youtube department.

    I need help.
I am trying to send my Uncle a Youtube video that is posted in the funny pictures thread. it s a tractor doing burnouts and my Uncle is a vintage tractor collector.

I am using .msn for my email and I can't get the video to copy/paste.

How the **** do I send even the link to his email address, much less the whole video? I used to be able to do it but I am having a brain fart and I can't figure it out.

    John
And in all fairness, just because JMB did it doesn't mean anything. He'd have won WWII with a soup can, a fork, and a couple rocks. Seriously, even McGuyver and Steven Hawking get together every now and then and are like "How the **** did he do that?..."

    Not-so-young whippersnapper here (I'm 48)...

    Two main methods:

    (A) COPY AND PASTE THE LINK INTO YOUR OWN EMAIL
    - right-click anywhere in the embedded video
    - Select "copy video URL"
    - go to your email message that's in progress
    - right-click anywhere in an open space
    - select "paste"
    - the web address of the video should appear in the email
    - finish your email and send it

    or

    (2) USE YOUTUBE'S BUILT-IN EMAIL SHARE FUNCTION
    - since it's a YouTube video, go to www.youtube.com and find the video by its title
    - below the video window, select the radio button marked "share"
    - slightly below and to the right, select "email"
    - enter appropriate email address for your uncle
    - click "send"
    I'm good with numbers:
    .22 .32 .380 .40 5.56 .223

Under every youtube video, there should be a share button. Click it. From here, you have two choices:
      1. You can select the box with the link in it (i.e. http://youtu.be/QStxlgW1lGc ), right click and select copy, and then paste it into a new email to his address. Refer to the sharealink attachment.
      2. You can click the e-mail button if you have a youtube account, and type out his e-mail address, then click send email. Refer to the shareanemail attachment.

          Inside the
          PHP Code:
          [youtube][/youtube
you would put the reference to the video and not the full url. Just do not include the php wrapping code. I did this to show you what it looks like.

          PHP Code:
          [YOUTUBE]http://youtu.be/QStxlgW1lGc[/YOUTUBE]
          This is the wrong way
          PHP Code:
          [YOUTUBE]QStxlgW1lGc[/YOUTUBE]
          This is the right way
          It will appear as this:

            GrinderCG:
1: I tried that but when I right click in my email body there is no option to "paste"

2: I will try doing it this way. Thanks!

I will look for the "sharealink" attachement. Thanks!
