So i moved to the darkside a little while ago. while i do love the system that android has, i feel like apple has a few minor features that were a lot simpler to use. for ex. the fast scroll back to the top and making a phone call was easier. since i am using the note i can move around the fast return to the top. I make a lot of phone calls, and while it just me being lazy is there anyway to make the note more like the apple in this respect. what i mean is if i miss a call or want to call you from my recents or favorites menu, i just press the name or number and it calls you back automatically. on the droid i have to press the name then use the phone icon even on my favorites. i know its not a big del but for some reason it bothers the hell out of me. also if im on the phone and my screen goes black when i am done with the call on my iphone it comes back to life. on the android phone i have to unlock my phone again. is there anyways around this at all? im honestly thinking about getting either a 4s or 5 because of these small things.

Thanks guys i had to turn it to list view on my favorites to get it to what i needed. I have until monday to see if i want to stick with android. I still find myself going back to my iphone but i think its because im familiar with it. But im debating if i should just stick with the note or go the s3 route. Im not a big techie guy, but i have really been hooked between these three phones, and i cant afford all of them so i have to make a choice.Comment

There is nothing an iphone can do that a modern android phone cannot. I can however think of plenty of things a modern android phone can do that an iphone cannot(without having to jailbreak and root the thing). Haven't missed a thing from my old iphone 3gs. Hell, the google app store even has a system for refunds if you don't like the app(just a simple, single button press). No need for that ****ty itunes software to manage media on your phone, operates just like any USB drive.Last edited by Merc1138; 11-03-2012, 1:34 AM.Comment

I was an iphone user for 4 years and switched to the samsung note 6 months ago. IMO, the Apple has a few things going for it. iOS is much more polished. The android feels much more chaotic. Sure the android has many more features but 99% of the population only needs certain features and the iphone does them all and it does it well. The iphone does have inferior hardware compared to my samsung note but because the OS is so much more polished that it feels much faster. My samsung note does give me fits sometimes because it can get laggy until I dump the ram. It's all about perception. Even if the samsung has faster hardware, if it feels slow...it's slow. Doesn't matter if the hardware is better.
However, I don't think I will be switching back to an iphone anytime soon. There are features like tethering that you don't have to pay for on the android. Also running flash is a big seller for me. Both phones are great and works.Comment
