    GoPro HERO3!

    Who's getting one?

I think I was going to wait until I at least see a few professional reviews, but holy cow, the specs for the Black Edition sure are impressive!

    1080p @60fps
    1440p @48fps
    2.7k @25fps
    4k @15fps

and a butt ton of other resolutions. Should be sweet!

I was just about to order a Hero2 and then this came out.

The 4k feature is useless as of right now. Who has a 4k display? And for the amount of memory it takes to record at that res, not worth it for most. 15FPS? Lame. But at least they came out with it. The price is pretty amazing.

I'm still looking at picking up a Hero2 if the price drops low enough.

Oooooo. I wanna get a GoPro so I can take frames from a watermelon being shot up by slugs. That would be so cool. We filmed a bowling ball cannon hitting a beat up van. We had the go pro inside running 60fps so we can do a little slow motion with it and it was cool. All the crap in the van just flying everywhere. Used my iPhone for the outside view and took a frame from that and got the bowling ball in mid air before it hit the van.

      I wanna get a Hero 3 now.

I'll get one once my original GoPro breaks, but it has survived a tough life already

GP 1s are finicky on some of the cheaper memcards and had come capacity issues ( didnt like large capacity cards)

i have my gp1 but it only gets strapped to my dog nowadays, the GP2 is way more reliable.

really tho im interested in the auto focus ability.

If the AF is as good or better than the GP2 and its <300$ price tag - im sold.
