Droid 2 global help(yes I know it's a dinosaur)

Was on my way to the range today when my phone sh*t itself and died. It just died and when I try to boot it up now the screen just repeatedly flickers for a 10th of a second with the motorola logo.

I would have just tossed it in the round file and gotten a new phone, but I don't get my upgrade till the 18th and if I want one now I gotta pay full price(ouch!) Gonna start calling friends to see if they have an old one they can loan me, but wanted to see if anybody here might know of a fix or if it's just dead.

Already tried removing the battery and cards and re-seating everything. Thats about a tech savvy as I get.

Yeah, this was just kind of a hail mary. Thankfully a co-worker loaned me an old beater phone he had lying around. That'll get me by until next thursday. Now I just have to decide between the iphone 4s or (hopefully) the galaxy 3S mini.

Remove the battery, hold down the power button for ten seconds, plug it back in.

Don't turn it on.

Let it charge overnight.

See if that brings it back.

^^^what he said, all Android phones/taps do that. Never let it go below5%.

Oh, and when you charge it, use a wall charger. When the phones get really low, computer-usb chargers get real squirrely. They shouldn't...but it happens.

Don't use cheap China power adapters, I have had issues with those (can't use the touchscreen when plugged in, so that is not clean enough power for my Androids).

You can buy a used Android off of eBay for pretty cheap, just make sure that it is a clean ESN (I think they are called with VZW). I have never done this with VZW, but I have for my son's Virgin phone a while back... If they won't put it on your account because it is not a clean ESN, then file a claim with eBay.

You just have to call VZW and have it swapped on your account for the current broken phone AFAIK.

OR you can get a new line, and pay for that until the prior one is out of contract for the discounted phone on the new line.
