Smart Pens and other Classroom Technology

    Good morning everyone.

Next semester of school starts soon, and I am looking at more effective ways to take and notes. I am wondering if anyone here has had luck with smartpens? It seems like it would suite my needs, but it is a pretty penny.

Do you all think I would be better off just bringing an audio recorder and learning to write faster?

Should I rely on a netbook instead?

Any input on note taking matters would be appreciated.

i just used a digital audio recorder that way i can upload the MP3s to my iphone and listen. It all depends on what type of learning you are. I am more visual so i used the recorder to take notes with later and just watched during lectures

I use a netbook for the most part. In a couple classes that they don't just preach off the PowerPoint I take notes on paper since its easier to high light personal input.. Many instructors will not allow you to record them anymore.
