I agree and why I have a PS3 instead of an Xbox, not to mention the PSN is free unlike Xbox live. I use mine for dvd and blu ray as well as netflix and gaming.I would say a PS3. It works with Netflix and Amazon video. Also the PS3 has a built in Blu-ray/DVD player. All of this can be controlled with PS3 BD Remote Control. If you are interested in video games, the PS3 also does that as well. I think it is the most functional device and the best bang for the buck.Comment

the NEW super slim was just released....250GB Bundle. The 500GB bundle will be available in a couple weeks. 25% smaller and 20% lighter than the ps3 slim. only availabe online right now; amazon or gamestop(I bought through gamestop, because amazon said 2-4 weeks to ship).
they should be on store shelves everywhere at the begining of october(but they can be bought online now).

While I use my 360, I have also used PS3 and they both offer great speed and ease of use. I installed a Roku as well as a Blu-Ray player that both have Netflix for a customer of mine and I notice a huge decrease in navigation speed."I like to think there are three measures of a man: How much steak he can eat in one sitting, how full his mustache is and how quickly he can whittle a spear in the event of the apocalypse." - Ron Swanson

+1 to this. For the cost of a PS3 when they go on sale, you get streaming video, internet browser, blu-ray/dvd player for the price of a plain blu-ray player.I would say a PS3. It works with Netflix and Amazon video. Also the PS3 has a built in Blu-ray/DVD player. All of this can be controlled with PS3 BD Remote Control. If you are interested in video games, the PS3 also does that as well. I think it is the most functional device and the best bang for the buck.
And as a bonus, it can play games as well.
PS3 is really good value for money.I need to think of a clever thing here.Comment

correct. only the original FAT ps3 was backwards compatible. however sony is releasing most of the good ps2 games online, revamped in HD. it does make a difference.
I played GOW with my original PS3(upscaled), and then the revamped HD version. the revamped version looks way better.
