    2-way radios - "10-4 good buddy?"

On November 3rd CGN is going to hold our annual Zombie Shoot! This year it's going to be a bit different and much better. We're teaming up with the CRPA and the event is going to be huge!

To make sure we have a massive zombie kill zone we're holding the slaughter at Burro Canyon shooing range in SoCa. However the place is very spread out and hilly, so communications might be challenging.

Is there a group that can supply some 2-ways for the day? Hopefully some radios a bit better than the typical consumer FRS toys out there. We'll probably need about a dozen.

Whoever helps will be treated like a Zombie Killing Superstar! Complimentary swag and Zombie Hunting License etc.

    Thanks!

You need a license holder for anything more than FRS based on wattage. You can get in serious trouble if you violate FCC rules while transmitting on non-FRS radios.

On another subject... Is the range going to ask / require for AW paperwork? Are they allowing high-capacity magazines? Are there going to be on-duty LEO watching over things? Will there be medical / emergency services? This is the first I have heard of this event.

Look for a formal announcement soon. I don't know about aw issues, but we'll post that info on soon to be event thread. Yes, there will be EMT on standby - at least 4 of them.

Should be a great event, one that may fill up fast.
