    Slow Loading pages

Once again I'm experiencing slow loading pages, server hang-ups...I have once again determined that the reason is the unnecessarily large animated .gif files for banner adds.

Does anyone review or optimize these? apparently not.

    Some of the worst culperts:

    Addax Tactical - 180,000 bytes
Scope and Optics - 165,000 Bytes
    Exile Machine - 281,000 bytes
    Crosshairs USA - 162,000 bytes
Jack Ross Ammo - 101,000 bytes
and the biggest pig...Cal Guns Foundation - 341,000 bytes

Please correct the poorly managed images so all mambers can enjoy quick page loads.

    Thanks

Have you tried a test via say... speedtest.net to test to see what speeds you are getting to see if it is your pipe speed?

i have no issues with page loading times, if you are having issues maybe use ABP and block all those offending ads , its fairly easy to figure out

Do you have your browser set to not save any files?
You should not be downloading each of those files every time you visit a page. Your browser should be saving them in its cache.

            Try Google's Chrome browser

I get the occasional double post and slow loading page, but speed has been pretty good lately.

How much RAM do you have? Computers are complex things. I just figured out that my comp was freezing on certain webpages because one of the hard drives was failing. That HD had nothing on it that had to do with web browsing but it affected it anyways. Another common thing I see is overheating. Try "core temp" to see how hot your processor is running. Lastly, check your event logs for Critical or Error events. "compmgmt.msc" from the run dialog. That's how I found my failing drive. Windows never showed me it was failing until I looked at the events in there.

If none of that works then scroll to the bottom of this page and change the page style in the dropdown.
