    Flying camcorder.

I am not a "geek", hopefully some of you can help me, so here is my question.

Next year at the San Fran Pride Parade, I would like to do some video tape of our contingent.

What I thought would be cool is if we had a remote controlled plane or helicopter that could be controlled by people in the contingent on our parade route so that we could get airborne video of our group as it marches down San Francisco.

Another option would be some kind of balloon, like a small Zeppelin.

The plane or helicopter would have to be large and stable enough because of potential wind.

Remote Plane or Helicopter ideally would have to be able to stay airborne for at least 10 to 15 minutes, would prefer if it could stay airborne for say 45 minutes so that way we could film our group marching from beginning to end.

Ideally I would want the remote aircraft to fly at say 75 to 100 feet in the air.

Of course I like to keep costs down, any suggestions guys?

quadcopter with a gopro, contour HD, or similar camera. Although I'm not sure what your idea of keeping the costs down or what you have planned out for a budget. Quad copter kits run anywhere from $400-$1000 and up(from what I've seen) and that's not including the camera.

edit: And that's not including a radio or something to control it, or the camera mount.

edit again: Well, I guess there's that ar drone by parrot that runs about $300, need a phone to control it. Although I have no idea how stable it would be in wind, or the battery life.

If someone in your group has an iPhone/iPod touch or iPad this will do the job for you. The new upgraded HD camera is nice.
