If you have not played this it is the only video game that remotely captures the feel of medieval combat, individually, en masse, on foot, horseback, bow or sword it feels surprisingly like the real thing (yes, I have participated in all of the above in non lethal forms). I bought M&B for $10.00 when it was in beta and have never regretted it. Still playing fairly often years later.
Many great mods and with Warband there is a MP componant.
