From your detailed description an accurate diagnosis is difficult, but it is entirely possible that it was just the particular website you were visiting.. You said you were "tryin to do my unemployment" - so i assume it is some government website that probably runs about as well as the DMV..-- Sent from my iPad using nothing more than my fingersComment

True, it may just be the website, it has occured on some others by just going to it.From your detailed description an accurate diagnosis is difficult, but it is entirely possible that it was just the particular website you were visiting.. Ya... My XP box and Win7 laptop have been acting up a lot lately. Even got a BOD on 7. Vista is doing ok(wtf). I run Chrome fine... I'm just stuck with IE as my business websites only use IE plugins.
Maybe the rash of updates from today will help.

I have been a virtually exclusive Firefox user since early beta.
FF had it's issues with multiple versions, but I only use IE to hit sharepoint at work. Many of us abandoned it long ago with all the security holes that were exploited on the daily, and hijacking, and .... more.
Don't obey Microsoft and use IE because of a electronica[-dubstep?] commercial, and for the love of everything American, don't be an Apple follower and use that iPhruity Safari crap.

Microsoft recently pushed out a security update for IE 6, 7, 8 & 9. I have noticed that cookie handling has changed and my login info to sites like CalGuns is not being retained. I suspect if I rolled back that update things would start working again, but the security patch is more important than the inconvenience of logging in. I will probably move those sites that I keep login info for to firefox or chrome.Comment

IE can kiss my grits. Haven't used it in many years now. And no its not because I couldnt watch free porn on IE either...A note to the NSA or anyone gathering information on me, this disclaimer is for you..."Everything I type on this website Is purely fictional and for entertainment purposes only. None of it is true."
Also, sometimes I type in CAPS to emphasize a POINT. Please dont interpret that as YELLING. Sorry if I HURT any fuzzy little bunny's FEELINGS out there.Comment

FYI, I got some relief in W7 (I use lots of lame IE8 plugins in IE9 doh!)
