What is wrong with Internet Explorer lately

Was tryin to do my unemployment online to day and as i went to go get information it kept resetting the page or some damn thing. This is not the only place it does it to. I am getting so fed up with it. realy have not had an issue till the last month or so.

From your detailed description an accurate diagnosis is difficult, but it is entirely possible that it was just the particular website you were visiting.. You said you were "tryin to do my unemployment" - so i assume it is some government website that probably runs about as well as the DMV..

True, it may just be the website, it has occured on some others by just going to it.

Ya... My XP box and Win7 laptop have been acting up a lot lately. Even got a BOD on 7. Vista is doing ok(wtf). I run Chrome fine... I'm just stuck with IE as my business websites only use IE plugins.

Maybe the rash of updates from today will help.

I have been a virtually exclusive Firefox user since early beta.

FF had it's issues with multiple versions, but I only use IE to hit sharepoint at work. Many of us abandoned it long ago with all the security holes that were exploited on the daily, and hijacking, and .... more.

Don't obey Microsoft and use IE because of a electronica[-dubstep?] commercial, and for the love of everything American, don't be an Apple follower and use that iPhruity Safari crap.

Microsoft recently pushed out a security update for IE 6, 7, 8 & 9. I have noticed that cookie handling has changed and my login info to sites like CalGuns is not being retained. I suspect if I rolled back that update things would start working again, but the security patch is more important than the inconvenience of logging in. I will probably move those sites that I keep login info for to firefox or chrome.
