    Anyone use 1&1MyWebsite?

I have been seeing all the TV ads for 1&1 My Website, and am considering setting up a simple website for my work. I am not an HTML expert, but I know my way around a computer.

Anyone ever use this company before or have any insights on similar companies?

    I have not.

    What do they charge?

Lots of domain providers also provide simple templates.
    Such as: http://www.godaddy.com/hosting/websi...r.aspx?ci=8975

Godaddy hosts my domain and my storage is with Lunarpages (Same as Calguns.org).

Lots of CGN members do web design, I'd be tempted to throw them a bone, over paying $10.00 a month.

If you did something similar you would pay about $600 for web design. (assuming a 5 year commitment at $120 a year ($10/month))
    Looking for a 3" Magnum 870 $200-$250ish

It looks like the price for a business site is $3.99/month for the first 12 months, regularly $ 9.99/month. Free 30-day trial

We're starting to see increased use of 1&1 by 419-scammers. Typically, I seem them sending their scam-spams from some IP address in China/Russia/Vietnam/Romania/Germany, but redirecting their "suckers" to reply to a domain hosted at 1&1. 1&1 seems reasonably responsive to taking these down--for now--and let's hope that they continue this effort.

^^^ would you or anyone have a more hearty recommendation for another hosting company that is cheap like 1&1?

We used 1and1 for our company's hosted server(web/email)....but have since transferred away(email issues mostly). I have used their website builder for some of our customers, but am not a huge fan(although I prefer more power/control over certain things). 1and1 is not bad, but we have noticed faster email delivery on godaddy.

Namebargain is pretty cheap as well. that is where we park/manage our domains.

I should have mentioned.... We are using Constant Contact for emails, so the 1&1 would be just for the site itself.

I've been with 1and1 for years. I got in on a free deal when they were just starting up. My site is pretty stale since I haven't had much time to work on it. I pretty much hand code my site, borrowing a little here and there to customize/learn things, so I can't help with their site building tools. I don't think I've had a single hiccup with their server package, don't even recall which one I have, I just pay the bill and don't think about it.
CalGuns Network (CGN) is different from CalGuns Foundation (CGF). Both need our support. I have gold name because I support CGN; plus, I send $10 every two weeks to CGF automatically via online BillPay as described here.

Support CGF by shopping at Amazon!
