I'm trying to install this on WIN/VISTA and I'm hitting a roadblock. Specifically I'm unable to configure and install yaml package:
./configure --prefix=/usr && make && make install
checking for a BSD-compatible install... /usr/bin/install -c
checking whether build environment is sane... yes
checking for a thread-safe mkdir -p... /usr/bin/mkdir -p
checking for gawk... gawk
checking whether make sets $(MAKE)... yes
checking for gcc... gcc
checking whether the C compiler works... yes
checking for C compiler default output file name... a.exe
checking for suffix of executables... .exe
checking whether we are cross compiling... configure: error: in `/tmp/yaml-0.1.4':
configure: error: cannot run C compiled programs.
If you meant to cross compile, use `--host'.
See `config.log' for more details
Did I do something wrong or is it a bug? Any help would be much appreciated.
*NOTE: this is all new to me
