by reading the links i am guessing the mod for day z is testing phase? and when arma III comes out so will the finished version of Day z?

ARMA 3 will have a whole support system just for DayZ.

Right now DayZ is in Alpha, which means things can change a LOT. They implement new features to see how they work and may remove them.

I'll bookmark that TS in case I go back to playing it. I'd love to get some regular ArMA stuff going, but most groups that play it are hardcore (have to attend a lot per month, etc).

I nearly made it to the second day. Found me a CZ 550. I managed to survive the zombies and other players long enough to starve to death. I went from 7k health to dead with a broken leg via starvation. Talk about a rough way to go.....

Then next game I spend 30 minutes sneaking into a town to go to a warehouse that is supposed to have high value industrial loot and find 3 empty tin cans.

I think the ultimate vehicle in DayZ is a bike. I have been trying to find one but cannot

DayZ (and ARmA) is not meant to be played like Left 4 Dead or Call of Duty.

I haven't played since May, but you used to be able to crawl pretty close to the zeds without "activating" them. It's all about stealth.

I think the last patch (or was it the one prior to that) increased the awareness area of the Zeds. I'm not able to crawl as close to them as I was able to in the past.

Anyway, I'm really enjoying this ARMA2 mod and look forward to it being "released" on the ARAM3 platform.

Creepy! Don't like games where you are completely outmatched by 14 year kids with waaaaay too much time on their hands and are tired of going against the game. PK-ers was the reason I got fed up with Ultima Online and sold my account.

If anyone is down, setting up a teamspeak and meeting up with some other calgunners shouldn't be too difficult.
I'm currently grouped with 3 other friends (calgunners) and its much more fun when you have someone to watch your back, bandage you up, pool supplies, etc.
