where can I get semi-legit MS Office 2021 lifetime?

Scam, maybe. I bought one from Groupon for ~$20. I paid with PayPal. I did have to use the phone method, they have a video demonstrating how to do this.

I pulled the trigger on $20.25 for Office 2021. Now says something about "will be sent within 24hrs" which I think is semi-legit because they gotta get a code off some "decommissioned" install.
Also says something about "ISO" but the 2019 didn't have that, but only saw after purchase when redeeming. Does that mean I've gotta do the weird "burn and mount image"? Never figured that one out. Maybe I'll need to find a local nerd on Craigslist or hit up my neighbor's kid.

ISO image created on a USB thumb drive, which you boot and install on a PC.

Is there any reason you couldn't use Open Office or the Google apps like Docs and Sheets which are free?

I did have a Groupon account before doing this. It mentioned looking in the spam folder.

I didn't have to burn the file they sent. It installed without doing that.

two or maybe three reasons:

Solidworks wants Excel. It will mostly work without, but I've got enough of a Learning Curve without second guessing WTF is causing issues. Now my SW loads with no error messages.

MS Office is still best supported with youtubes, etc. IIRC Libre etc still creates standard MS Office compatiable files, but who knows, the fiends at MS are always trying to break apps.

For $20.25 it a no brainer if I value my time at $1/hour. I'm gonna get another cheap Laptop and first thing I'm gonna do is slap $20 MS Office on it.

YEAH, the Groupon I tried installed and seems to work. A couple of minor "uh?" moments and I can't seem to just drag icons to Desktop, but I created a token doc in both Word and Excel and saved them to Desktop, so I just click on them and that opens the app, then I click "new".
