AllState/Arity Apps Collecting Your Data to Increase Your Insurance Rates

Warning: Gasbuddy and any app that uses the Arity API (owned by AllState) collects your driving data and sells it to insurance companies. Those insurance companies use that data to adjust your rates. Arity created an API which they allow app developers to use. As part of the agreement to use said API Arity collects data on the user. The App developer may not disclose or even know that Arity is collecting the user's driving data.



Texas is suing AllState and Arity.
