So, I haven't built a PC in 22 years. I've been doing some research on all the new hardware. I need to run Blender, Zbrush, and other 3d render programs. I'd like to also game with higher settings. This is what I've "built". Any input would be appreciated.

I don't care if it's 10 or 11..I just wanted to know if the buil I put together was powerful enough to run the programs I mentioned.sigpic200 bullets at a time......

I don't know what those programs on your list require, but I'm fairly certain the parts you selected are powerful enough to run them at a decent speed. The only thing you may have trouble with is running VR games at 4k and greater than 30 fps.Comment

They're high end 3D rendering programs for making 3D print objects as well as for "CGI" for films. I don't plan on VR as it gives me migraines.sigpic200 bullets at a time......

Also, I doubt that I'll be playing in 4k. 1440p is plenty. I was more curious about compatability issues with the hardware. Again, I haven't built one in over 20 years and a lot of advancements have been made.sigpic200 bullets at a time......

I have never used these 3D rendering/print programs. I’m sure a Ryzen 7 7800X3D is plenty enough to run those programs. It is the go-to CPU right now for high end gamers. We have an excess of CPU power right now. Rarely anything can tax a state of the art 8-core CPU running 16 threads.Comment

You have a great parts list for what you want to do. You’ll be able to do it no issues. You are missing an M.2 SSD or two for storage. I’d get one of the faster gen 4s. WD black or the the Samsung 990 pro, etc.So, I haven't built a PC in 22 years. I've been doing some research on all the new hardware. I need to run Blender, Zbrush, and other 3d render programs. And no point going Win 10. It’s on the way out.Comment

I chose the MSI SPATIUM M570 HS 2 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 5.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive.

For MAXIMUM confusion, "M.2" is the name of the connector that can hold either an SSD, or NVMe. For COMPLETE confusion, the M.2 SSD looks visually identical to M.2 NVMe.
But the two are completely different technologies, and completely different speeds. Do not waste money on M.2 SSD devices if you really need speed. One can configure
one or more NVMe devices to be used like a "disk drive", but NVMe is not dedicated to disk-like storage only.
Having configured and installed multiple 4X 2TB NVMe devices into RAID single disk configurations for Ubuntu, I like your choice of NVMe hardware. The new PCIe 5.0
hardware is quick. I used to like the stupidly expensive HP Quadro cards that implemented buffered writes because they used a full 16X on the PCIe bus. The new
hardware is fast enough that they are no longer needed. Sometimes you need to go into the device setup to synthesize multiple devices on the PCIe bus when you
install multiple NVMe sticks -- the ASUS cards almost always need this. What about the 19th? Can the Commerce Clause be used to make it illegal for voting women to buy shoes from another state?Comment

The case you chose (4000D Airflow) only comes with one intake fan. You'll want three. You can either upgrade to the Corsair 4000D Airflow RGB, which includes three intake fans and an RGB controller, or purchase the fans separately and mount it all yourself.
I just built a similar system for my son and discovered this after opening up all the boxes. I ended up buying the AF120 RGB Elite triple pack, which when combined with the 4000D Airflow, is a few bucks cheaper than the 4000D Airflow RGB.
Also, I didn't check your motherboard, but mine didn't have a header for both USB ports on the top of the case. You might want to look at that. I ended up getting a cheap ($15) PCI card to plug the USB C header into.Comment

That video card should be fine. Unless you are trying to play through ray traced big scenes with many elements you wlil be fine. We work on massive models (1-3 GB file size typical) in various Autodesk apps using mid level Quadro RTX 4000 cards which aren't as nice as what you've specd. Blender isn't that crazy depending what you are doing. I run it on a few year old laptop with an Iris card in it. I don't do anything crazy though, just kitbash STLs and basic stuff.vindicta inducit ad salutem?Comment
