GoDaddy or my code?

Randomly, when you do, you will get an error: Validation of viewstate MAC failed.
As I understand it. the page was sent with a given machinekey but the page the server got back does not have the correct key. I have no control of machinekey on a shared server. GoDaddy is saying it is something in my code.
I am not a coder. I will be discussing this with my guy. Is GoDaddy blowing me off??
