Copying pictures

Recently, when trying to copy pictures from off topic/pictures that make you laugh, my cursor changes from a arrow to a magnayfing glass with a + symbol inside when I hover over a picture, and when I try to paste them in a email, they paste at about 10% size. They used to paste full size.
What changed and how to fix?
I have a older desk top with windows 7.

Should just be able to right click and click copy image and then paste it into wherever else you need. Sounds like you are just copying the thumbnail

Yes, seems like.
When my cursor is in the margins or text portion of a thread, it is a arrow, but when I move it over a picture, it changes to a magnafying glass with the + symbol inside. I'm assuming it's a setting problem?
How to change?

I just tried this:

Place cursor on the image (the + thingie will appear)
Without moving your cursor, right click and then select "Copy Image"
Voila!
Paste image in your destination.

What web browser are you using? There may have been an update that changed that function

I'm using Brave browser, and I just tried using Firefox. Didn't work.
I don't have a problem copying and pasting from other sites, so it must be something between my computer/progrms and this site. I've tried looking at the settings here, but no help.
