    ASUS Warranty Is a Scam

Lots of people are complaining about ASUS refusing warranty service and inventing reasons to not honor their warranty. Buyer beware if you buy anything ASUS.

SUE in Small Claims for at least 5x the replacement cost. Figure it will cost some big corp at least $5K just to show up in some podunk County Court, but likely more like $10K.
Learning how to sue in Small Claims is worth it. If I was teaching Biz Law etc I make it required assignment to do a Small Claims suit.

But also....NEVER, EVER let on in anyway that you are using THEIR loss of THEIR value time and PIA factor as leverage. Its the big Open Secret in the court system everyone plays dumb about.

Just like to an Economist a new prison is same as new college or hospital, to lawyers (judges) there is no diff between you spending $100,000 on legal fees or a nice vacation trip.

Most warranties are scams or have too many exclusions to be worthwhile.

cant say i ever had an issue with asus warranty and ive straight up killed motherboards with sparks, fire, put it in the dishwasher, bent pins etc. never once had an issue... no questions asked, replace it for free. this was years ago though, ive since stopped buying hardware entirely so maybe they have changed and are the exact opposite now.

Yes, it was the easiest way to get the mountain of dielectric grease off of it.

ASUS screwed me on a laptop that died. They would only replace the motherboard that went out if I paid the $900 to "fix" the edge LED lights that I had unplugged.

Isn't that all companies now across all product lines? I gave up on warranties a long time ago. Scammers the lot of them. Integrity is long gone.
