The whole left/right, republican/democrat thing is an obvious load of BS. Both sides want to increase government and decrease liberty, they are just slightly different flavors of the same thing.

Even still, I would rather a republican wins this time around. At least when Bush was in office the lefties would complain about the ongoing wars and infringements of civil liberties. Obama has stepped up many of the policies that the lefties were constantly having fits about when Bush was in office, but they have all but completely silenced any of their dissent since Obama took over.

If it was Bush, the lefties would be going nuts over Bradley Manning.

If it was Bush, the lefties would be going nuts over the renewal of the patriot act.

I honestly don't think they have the capability to sift through all this information. I mean the basal assumption you have to make is that GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES are COMPETENT enough in their jobs to spy on you. I mean you can STORE all the data you want, but to actually sit there and look through it all? Jesus, no computer program in the world could do that and give you data. Then take into account wardrivers, tornoders, puttyshellers, virtualboxers, and it all gets very confusing, very fast.
