Wipe it clean and sell it on Craigslist.

I've sold a TON of electronics on there with no problems. Just make sure you meet in a public place, face to face and CASH only.

Every time the new one comes out, I usually am elgible for an upgrade. I work in a heavily asian populated company with most being Vietnamese or Phillipino. I post a note that its for sale with no contract for the price of my upgrade plus maybe a little extra cushion. Ive done this for all 4 generations of iphones for a family of four. They are happy getting an iPhone without a contract to take back to thier country of origin for a lot less than the original cost, and I get the latest iphone and a few extra bucks in my pocket. I feel they get the better end of the deal but no more up front out of my pocket is good enough for for me.

If you want fast money were you dont have to put up so much effort you can go through an Internet based company. I used nextworth.com. I got $110 for a 3G and $60 for the OG iPhone. NO hassle and fast payment.

Looks like ebay has a program where they can buy your phone, i'm going to go that route.

Sell on ebay. International buyers paymore, just be sure payment is 100% cleared before shipping, and make that clear on your auction.

There are koisks inside some supermarkets that will buy older cell phones and electronics for pretty decent price. I had a friend sell an iPhone 3gs to one of the machines and got $60 something dollars last year.

I tried instant sale on ebay. They offered $110 for it and when it got to them they changed the offer to $11 saying the vibrate feature was damaged and the case was separating from the phone so i told them to send it back. I hope i get the same phone back because the one i sent was in pretty good condition.

give me 1 day. There's a site that will literally pay you like 140$ for a good condition gen 1 iphone - its late and the coworker thats a habitual tech flipper isn't awake. I'll update shortly ...

Neat. I've a 3g with cracked screen that I'd love to dump.
